Lot 164 Ithaca Flues 'Grade 3' 10 Ga #212913

'Grade 3,' an American classic side-by-side box-lock shotgun chambered for 3" 10 Gauge shells (chamber measured with drop-in gauge). Shotgun features a blued and color-case hardened finish, 30" matted ribbed 'KRUPP FLUID STEEL' barrels, bores measure 12 Ga. 'CYL' with a drop-in gauge, brass bead front sight, hammerless, dual smooth curved triggers, checkered sliding tang safety, and extractor. The receiver is engraved with the number three on the water table, and the external case-hardened surfaces display almost full coverage of tight scrolls with geometric borders and edge patterns, both sides have a hunting dog testing the wind, and the belly shows a flying goose. The walnut furniture consists of a semi-pistol grip shoulder stock with checkering at the wrist, a checkered black plastic grip cap, 14-1/2" length-of-pull, 2-1/8" drop at comb, 3-11/16" drop at heel, checkered black plastic factory buttplate, and a checkered splinter-style forend with ebony inlaid tip. The water table, tang, barrels, and forend all have matching serial numbers '212913.' The original blued finish retained is approximately 96% with superficial blemishes, very light edge wear, and thinning on the barrels near the receiver. The color-case finish has faded a bit and shows some losses by the left side of the trigger guard. Metal displays some minor pin-prick pitting, spots of rust, patina, and some slight deformation in a couple of the screw slots. Bore shows some pitting in the right bore, and very light pitting in the left bore. Hardwood furniture is in very good condition with light scratches and handling blemishes. The action is smooth with the action opening under its own weight, and the action lever slightly to the right of the tang's centerline. The action has a crisp lock-up.
Condition is NRA Good.
